In September, it was with great joy and excitement that as a member of the Missing Children’s Network, I had the opportunity to fly to Nunavik for a second time!

Getting out and meeting Inuit communities means accessing the generosity, knowledge and sensitivity of individuals with life experiences that we can all learn from. If these communities renewed their trust towards our organization, it is mainly due to  the gentle and flexible approach of our prevention philosophy. This year, I had the privilege to travel through Inukjuak’s Inuit  ancestral territory, accompanying a group of youth in their traditional activities while opening the discussion on healthy relationships, with the goal to create tailored healthy sexuality resources.

In Puvirnituq, I had the pleasure of speaking with the Hudson’s Bay early childhood support team during a training session that addressed safety and development: a gathering that encouraged the sharing of best practices. It was an experience like no other: an occasion that will allow us to continue developing our precious collaboration with the people of Nunavik.

Thank you all for your support! And to Nunavik, I say, Nakurmiik and see you soon!
