The search continues for Yohanna Cyr last seen on August 15, 1978
Back on August 5, 2016, Lilianne Cyr was contacted via Facebook by an American woman who believed that she was Liliane’s long lost daughter. Yohanna Cyr was only 18 months-old when she disappeared back on August 15, 1978 from Saint-Laurent. The pair recently underwent DNA testing and have been anxiously holding their breath for the results. It is with much regret that we inform you that the results were negative.
Despite their disappointment with the outcome of the DNA results, Lilianne will not give up hope and is just as determined to find her daughter today as the day Yohanna went missing. Lilianne and her family wish to sincerely thank the public for all the support and outpouring of love that they have received over the past few weeks. It has been a source of comfort for the family to know that the entire world was clinging to the hope that Yohanna would finally be home.
Out of respect for the family, we wish to mention that Lilianne will not be granting any interviews for the moment. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for the family.
